SPRING LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Crews responded to a fire near Fruitport Sunday evening, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened at the Linamar manufacturing facility located at 14638 Apple Drive near 148th Avenue in Spring Lake Township, just south of Fruitport.
The fire broke out around 9:30 p.m. Investigators believe the fire was accidental and “related to welding,” they said, adding that there was no evidence of arson.
