GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — After a tanker truck crashed and burned on US-131 in downtown Grand Rapids over the weekend, a spokesperson for the Michigan Department of Transportation says there’s no timeline yet for repairs.
The crash happened just after 8 a.m. Saturday on southbound US-131 at I-196, filling the sky with black smoke and shutting down the freeway for the better part of the day. Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
