A local nonprofit is hoping to make a difference one bike at a time. Upcycle Bikes continues to provide bikes to community members in need, at no cost.
In 2022, Rick Armbruster, founder and executive director of Upcycle Bikes, was volunteering to fix up bikes for Bethany Christian Services’ refugee program. There, he saw a need for affordable, portable transportation just within the local refugee population. The gears began turning for a new organization that could serve more people.
