Roadway flooded? Here’s what you should do next

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — You could see more flooded roadways in West Michigan this week as river levels continue to rise. A few inches of water over the road may not seem dangerous, but there are some safety tips you should keep in mind.

River levels in West Michigan are on the rise, with the Grand River expected to crest at nearly 15.5 feet by Wednesday. Water control structures along the Thornapple River watershed are also seeing high flow conditions, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.
