A Michigan teenager has died after nearly five years of navigating brain cancer complications.

Annika “Anni” Meier — a 17-year-old from Rockford, Michigan — was just 11 years old when she was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma brain tumor in June 2021, her family shared on the Anni’s Army Foundation’s website. She underwent a 12-hour brain surgery to remove the fast-growing tumor.
