Brown County Library unveils history map for local exploration

BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – Brown County Library announced the release of “Discover Brown County,” a history map designed to encourage exploration of Brown County’s history, heritage, natural wonders, notable people, recreation and other points of interest.

The map is being released as America celebrates its 250th anniversary and highlights Brown County’s place in the nation’s story.

Project launch

Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach, Discover Green Bay Vice President of Digital Marketing and Communications Nick Meisner, Press Times General Manager Mike Hollihan and Brown County Library Executive Director Sarah Sugden are scheduled to speak about the project at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the Central Library, 515 Pine St., in downtown Green Bay.
