VILLAGE OF WRIGHTSTOWN, Wis. (WBAY) – Wrightstown residents voted no Tuesday on a referendum asking whether the village should support or help build municipal infrastructure for large-scale data center developments in or near the community.
The vote came after months of debate and repeated concerns from residents about how data centers could affect traffic, noise, power use and the character of the village. The referendum was held alongside a regular primary election.

Village Administrator Travis Coenen said residents had been vocal about wanting a direct vote on the issue.
“They definitely came out at our meetings and when we were discussing — or I should say when the data center topic was out — really wanting to voice their opinion and be able to have a vote in what happens here in the community,” Coenen said…
