GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) — Construction begins Monday on a riverfront playground and urban beach in the Shipyard District in downtown Green Bay.
The construction marks the start of the second phase of the project. The first phase was finished in October 2024, bringing a floating dock and kayak launch to the area.
Brian Johnson, president and CEO of On Broadway, said the new phase will add a range of amenities, including recreational equipment, beach volleyball courts and an urban beach.
