OCONTO, Wis. (WBAY) – Veterans of Foreign Wars honored America’s future and the teachers who guide them with a ceremony in Oconto today. The Patriot Pen Competition is meant for those from 6th to 8th grade. The essay they wrote about this time is, “How am I inspired by America.” Teachers won the “Teacher of the Year” for being outstanding in their work and instilling a sense of American pride in the classroom.
