Women dies in crash involving semitruck on State 32 in Town of Oconto Falls

A 76-year-old Cecil woman died following a crash with a semitruck Sunday morning on State 32 in the Town of Oconto Falls, according to the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman was driving a car that was traveling westward on County CC around 8:15 a.m. when she failed to stopped at the intersection and was struck by a southbound semi, a preliminary investigation concluded.

The woman was transported to a Green Bay hospital, where she died as a result of injuries she received from the crash.

The driver of the semitruck, a 39-year-old Krakow man, also was taken to a Green Bay hospital and treated for injuries. No update on his condition was provided.

The semi ended up overturned in the west ditch with extensive damage following the crash while the car rested in the northbound lane.

The Sheriff’s Office and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office are both continuing their investigation into the incident.
