The Cecil woman who was killed in an Oconto County crash Sunday with a semitruck has been identified as Charitee McKenna.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that the 76-year-old was the driver of a passenger car that was traveling westward on County CC around 8:15 a.m. Sunday when she failed to stopped at the intersection with State 32 in the Town of Oconto Falls.
McKenna was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, where she died as a result of injuries she received from the crash. Her family was by her side when she died, according to her obituary .
Her funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Hillside Assembly of God, 5890 Highway 22 in Gillett. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
The driver of the semitruck, Jeffrey Hintz, 39 of Krakow, also was taken to a Green Bay hospital with suspected serious injuries. No update on his condition was provided.
No passengers were in either vehicle, and both were wearing seat belts.
McKenna is survived by her husband, Joseph, and six children.
