Wisconsin representative Mike Gallagher not seeking reelection

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WKBT) — Rep. Mike Gallagher from the Green Bay area is retiring from Congress after 4 terms.

The announcement comes after Gallagher was one of only a handful of Republicans that voted against impeaching Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

At one point, Gallagher was considered a top potential candidate to run against Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin this fall.

Gallagher announced in June he wouldn’t run for Senate and planned to remain in the House.
