Quinyon Mitchell report: Eagles rookie saves touchdown with huge play vs Packers in Brazil

SAO PAULO, Brazil − It didn’t take long for the Packers to test Eagles rookie Quinyon Mitchell.

The Eagles’ first-round pick was starting on the outside with Isaiah Rodgers out with a hand injury. Facing a 3rd-and-6 from the Eagles’ 38, Packers quarterback threw deep down the left sideline for Christian Watson. But Mitchell, the Eagles’ first-round pick, was step for step with Watson and broke up the pass.

That forced fourth down. The Packers were going to go for it before they were called for a false start. They punted.

The Eagles revealed a new wrinkle. Rookie Cooper DeJean, the second-round pick, was the nickel, keeping Mitchell on the outside.
