Packers QB Jordan Love ‘likely’ to return against Vikings, per report

It’s a border battle week, as the undefeated Minnesota Vikings will head to Green Bay to take on the Packers this weekend, and it sounds like it will be Jordan Love’s return game.

The Packers quarterback suffered an MCL sprain late in the team’s season-opening loss to Philadelphia in Brazil, and Malik Willis has filled in for Love the past two weeks, leading Green Bay to a pair of wins.

While MCL sprains typically sideline players for three to six weeks, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Wednesday that Love will “likely” return a little early to face the Vikings.

“It does seem like the Packers will have their quarterback back. Not for sure, for sure, but as close as it has been,” Rapoport said.

Green Bay’s starter already returned to practice in full pads in a limited fashion last week and will still be monitored this week, Rapoport noted. However, Love is reportedly willing to play even if he’s not 100% healed, and a big matchup with his division rival will only fuel that desire to return.
