This was supposed to be a heavyweight fight.
Jaire Alexander was set to face off against Justin Jefferson.
Jeff Hafley said he was going to give him that assignment, something Alexander has asked for in the past with some success.
As the Packers steamrolled their way to a 41-17 win in January of 2023, Alexander helped hold Justin Jefferson to one catch for 15 yards on the day.
Alexander danced and darted all over the field, helping take Jefferson out of his element.
Jefferson was visibly shaken by the cornerback’s antics.

That won’t be something he’ll have to deal with today, as NFL Network reported earlier this morning, Alexander will not play due to the lower body injuries that began to nag him later in the week.
