Report: Jordan Love to wear knee brace as Vikings take on Packers

The Minnesota Vikings (3-0) will face Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers (2-1) on Sunday afternoon but the star quarterback’s return is reportedly coming with a caveat.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero , Love is expected to wear a brace on his left knee while making the start against the Vikings. Pelissero adds that he heard from sources that Love took the majority of the practice reps this week and “looked better and better” as the week went on.

Love has been out since the Sept. 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles when he sprained his MCL on the final drive of the game. Love missed the last two games but the Packers still won with backup quarterback Malik Willis at the helm.

This week’s developments put Love in line to make his third career start against the Vikings but the first two have had different outcomes.

Love completed 24-of-41 passes for 229 yards with a touchdown and an interception in a 24-10 loss at Lambeau Field last October but rebounded to complete 24-of-33 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns in a 33-10 win over the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium last December.
