Gordon Food Service is closing in Ashwaubenon. Here’s what we know Streetwise

ASHWAUBENON − A Michigan-based food distributor and grocery store is closing next week.

Gord on Fo od Service , 2609 S Oneida St., in Ashwaubenon, will close October 11, according to a sign posted at the door. This is the only store in the Green Bay area, with just one other location in northeastern Wisconsin, at 301 N. Bluemound Drive, in Appleton. After this closure, the company will have a total of six locations in the state, which includes a distribution center.

The company supplies food to restaurants, hospitals, and schools and has over 150 stores in the United States.

A previous message on the door from Sept. 27 announced new hours of operations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday.

Gordon Food Service purchased the land for $1,250,000 million from Midwest Expansion Companies in February of 2014.

Gordon Food Service did not immediately responded to requests for comment from the Green Bay Press-Gazette regarding the closure.
