Man convicted of stabbing father at Green Bay mosque, committed for psychiatric care

GREEN BAY (WLUK) – A man who stabbed his father at a Green Bay mosque was convicted Thursday, but then found not guilty by reason of mental disease. Abdullahi Ali, 24, pleaded guilty to attempted homicide and causing bodily harm to a health care provider. However, the mental health determination means Ali will be committed for psychiatric care for 26 years instead of facing prison, court records show.
