GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The City of Green Bay and the Green Bay Area Public School District (GBAPSD) held a ribbon cutting for a brand new playground at Sullivan Elementary School on Friday afternoon.
The playground is an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant park that’s all-inclusive for kids of all abilities to be able to partake in the fun.

Tanya Fenner, the Principal of Sullivan Elementary said it’s been a fantastic experience seeing the kids’ excitement.
“Until last week, we had recess on the green area, but as they saw it build up, the kids were going crazy, they couldn’t wait,” Fenner said. “I broke into tears three times when they first got to come out, seeing the sheer joy on their faces.”
Mayor Eric Genrich was also in attendance. The playground was funded through the city’s ARPA funds as well as the November 2022 referendum.
