Kewaunee’s Miller captures sectional crown as team qualifies for state

The Kewaunee girls’ cross country team made sure on Saturday that Hannah Miller won’t be alone at next weekend’s state cross country meet in Wisconsin Rapids. The Kewaunee girls’ cross country team earned their spot by taking second place in the Manitowoc Lutheran Sectional with 97 points, 42 points behind first-place Valders. The Storm do boast the sectional’s individual champion with Hannah Miller winning the race with a time of 19:23. Southern Door’s Emma Bousley (8th, 20:59.0), Sevastopol’s Sienna Cain (39th, 23:17.2), Algoma’s Sierra Slaby (26th, 22:21.9), and Gibraltar’s Bridget Tepe (103rd, 27:55.5) led their respective teams.
