Packers QB Jordan Love Has Another ‘Scary’ Concern Amid Groin Injury

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love suffered his second injury of the season in Week 8, exiting Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a groin injury.

Love missed two games earlier this season after suffering an MCL sprain in the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

It’s unclear if Love will be available to play in Week 9 when the 6-2 Packers host the 6-1 Detroit Lions in a battle for first place in the NFC North.

Josh Kendall of The Athletic has one “scary” stat for the Packers and Love that suggests the team might not want to risk their star quarterback until he’s mobile.

“Green Bay got a win Sunday, but its young quarterback is a bit of an adventure,” Kendall wrote. “Love was 14-of-22 for 196 yards and an interception Sunday, finishing with a 73.3 passer rating against the Jaguars.

“Love is 31st in the league among quarterbacks with more than 100 attempts in EPA when being blitzed this season. That’s worse than Bo Nix , Andy Dalton , Gardner Minshew and barely better than Deshaun Watson . On top of that, Love had to leave Sunday’s game after aggravating a groin injury.”
