You can’t help but feel for Christian Kirk.
In Sunday’s loss to the Packers, Christian Kirk nearly made a sensational catch only to be leveled to the ground by two Green Bay defenders. It was obvious right away, this was a serious injury.
While we may have hoped for the best case scenario of a shoulder sprain, it was obvious whatever was wrong would take weeks of recovery. Now we know it will take longer than that.
He said on Instagram, “Defining moments like this in our lives provide an opportunity to show who we are in our core. The ‘obstacle’ is always the way, and that’s how I choose to attack it. My journey is far from over in this league, and I know I’ll be back better than ever.
To Duval, my teammates, coaches, and family, I’m sorry that I won’t be out there for the rest of the season. I’ve loved every moment of being a part of this organization, and hopefully will spend many more Sundays in a Jags uniform.
