The Detroit Lions came up with a statement win on Sunday night as they took down division rivals Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, 24-14. The conditions were anything but ideal as the rain started pouring down, but the Lions still handled their business to mark their seventh win in eight games played this season.
After the victory, Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews caught up with Lions star quarterback Jared Goff. The three-time Pro Bowler sent a strong message after Detroit secured a crucial road victory against one of their fiercest rivals.
“It was a fun game,” Goff said. “Whenever you get these games they’re kind of once a year, you get ones like this. In Green Bay, in Lambeau, we’re supposed to be the ‘dome’ team. We come in here, we’re supposed to be the team that can’t play outside, and we come out here and win.”
Goff did his bit for the Lions, who as he said, was supposed to be a team that only won in their domed home stadium at Ford Field. The 30-year-old went 18-of-22 with his passes for 145 yards and one touchdown.
