GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Green Bay say a paper machine caught on fire Saturday morning on Green Bay’s east side leading to damages estimated to total around $2,000.
According to a release from the Green Bay Metro Fire Department , crews responded at 9:30 a.m. to a location of a company on the east side of Green Bay for a reported fire.

Officials say they assisted the company’s emergency response team in finding the fire and discovered that a paper machine caught fire and had spread to another paper machine due to dust accumulation in the area.
Due to factors such as the size, construction, and persistence of the fire, additional crews were called in to help extinguish it and several surrounding hotspots.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department reports that the fire resulted in an estimated $2,000 worth of damages and that crews were on the scene for three hours.
