Green Bay toymaker brings smiles to local kids with handmade wooden toys for holiday event

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Rick Brunner, of Rick’s Toybox, made a memorable impact on the community with his recent donation of over 150 handcrafted wooden toy cars and three sets of games and puzzles.

These gifts were distributed to Magee, Koenig, and LB Clarke schools, where they are now used in student services areas and School Resource Officer (SRO) offices. The games and puzzles have proven effective as tools for breaking the ice and fostering meaningful conversations with students.

The toy cars that Brunner made added extra joy to the Cool City Christmas event, where they were given out to children, and have also become a welcome addition to squad cars for special moments with young community members.

Rick’s presence at the annual Shop with a Cop event was a highlight, as he shared his wooden creations and engaged with kids in crafting activities.
