The Philadelphia Eagles know they have a daunting task when it comes to their Wild Card opponent, the Green Bay Packers.
Like the Eagles, the Packers own a top-10 offense and defense overall. Like the Eagles, the Packers own a strong workman-like rushing attack that has led the way.
It’s that rushing attack – led by Pro Bowler Josh Jacobs – that has defensive coordinator Vic Fangio struggling to find ways to keep him contained.
“Jacobs has had as good a year as anybody, and he’s hard to tackle,” Fangio said. “Runs physical. And they have the play pass game off it. So, they have really good big play receivers that you’re always worried about, and the combination of them being able to throw it down the field and run it is a tough combination.”
There are many reasons why the Packers have been successful this season but using Jacobs as the bell-cow has led the way for the entire unit.
