STILES, Wis. (WFRV) – Deputies with the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office have provided an update on the deadly crash that happened on USH 141 that occurred last weekend, including the identity of the victim.
According to a release, deputies identified the 24-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash as Rhiley Peterson of Wausaukee.
Deputies were called to a one-vehicle crash on USH 141 around 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, January 4.

A preliminary investigation showed that the SUV, driven by Peterson with a 1-year-old child, was heading north on USH 141 when it left the road and drove through the eastside ditch.
Deputies say the SUV then hit the south intersecting ditch, causing it to be launched over the road. The SUV reportedly flipped multiple times before coming to a rest in a yard next to the highway.
The 1-year-old was taken to a local hospital to be checked for any injuries.
