Taylor Schabusiness found competent to continue in court proceedings for prison guard attack

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) – A Green Bay woman who was convicted of killing and dismembering a man has now been found competent to continue in her new court case where she’s accused of attacking a prison guard.

A charge of Battery by Prisoners was filed last year against Taylor Schabusiness, who is currently being held at Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond du Lac.

Schabusiness is accused of attacking a sergeant in the prison on July 24. According to court documents filed in November, Schabusiness told the guard she needed medical care because she had a staple in her arm. The sergeant brought Schabusiness to the medical room and got her up on their table. The nurse got the tray and started to get the tweezers to take out the staple, and court documents say that’s when Schabusiness lunged at the nurse…
