Wisconsin Weather Alert: Up to 4 Inches of Snow and Ice Through Wednesday Morning

Green Bay, WI – A wintry weather system continues to move across Wisconsin, bringing accumulating snow, freezing rain, and sleet to much of the state through Wednesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, as of 3 a.m. Tuesday, most areas had already recorded between 1 and 2 inches of snow. An additional ½ to 4 inches is expected throughout the morning, with the heaviest amounts likely in northeast Wisconsin. The snow is forecast to gradually transition to a mix of freezing rain and sleet across central and northeastern parts of the state.

Meteorologists warn that ice accumulations could reach up to one-tenth of an inch in localized areas. This glaze of ice, combined with fresh snowfall, may result in slick roads, fallen tree branches, and scattered power outages—especially in areas like Wausau, Appleton, and Green Bay…
