Family-owned Blue Harbor Seafood finds its stride selling fresh fish in Green Bay area

In his online bio on LinkedIn, Mike Parkinson, now retired, offers consulting services and writes about his success in running two separate businesses. The first, a resort and campground that he owned with his wife in the Upper Peninsula, was sold and continues today.

The next business, Blue Harbor Seafood , was purchased in 1999 as a merger with Wisconsin Seafood. Parkinson had gained experience in the industry by operating a wholesale route for 17 years. Putting that experience to use, Blue Harbor Seafood, under his leadership, became a business with gross sales exceeding $5 million a year.
