Shawano man accused of exposing himself jumped from second-story balcony to avoid arrest

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – A man accused of trying to break into apartments, and exposing himself in a hallway, tried to evade capture by jumping from a second story balcony, police said Thursday.

Around 5:30 a.m., Appleton Police said officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of East Harding Drive for a report of a male attempting to enter numerous apartments while exposing himself in a common hallway of the building.

When officers arrived, police said the man ran away from officers and forced his way into an unlocked apartment. Officers entered the apartment, and while attempting to locate the man, police said he jumped from the second story balcony…
