BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — Nine-year-old Xander Jones, a student at Mabscott Elementary School, brought home the title for the Pepsi Youth Championship and is now headed to the Junior Gold National Championship, a youth bowling tournament.
The national tournament will be held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in July.
“It’s kind of the national tournament for all of youth bowlers,” explained Leisure Lanes Manager Kevin Price. “You just don’t enter it. You have to qualify to enter it, and Xander was the Number One bowler in his age group for the state tournament.”…
