Elevated fire danger continues Sunday evening and conditions will ramp back up again on Monday. The combination of low humidity, warm daytime temperatures, and occasional gusty breezes are not a good combination so refrain from burning and watch anything that could throw a spark.
Dew point values will climb back into the 50s and 60s Tuesday through Thursday night. Increased low-level moisture may give rise to a few isolated to spotty showers or storms Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday. Widespread, heavy rain is not expected.
A stronger cold front late Thursday and Thursday night could spark a batch of strong to severe storms. This period may be upgraded to a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY so stay tuned for updates.
High temperatures through Thursday will be in the 70s and 80s inland, but only in the 50s and 60s near Lake Michigan.
