When traveling on parts of Interstate 41 and State 441 this summer, be prepared for an increase in traffic during peak travel hours.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, drivers should expect congested traffic from 7 to 8:30 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. this summer, specifically at the northbound State 441 exit for Outagamie County OO/Northland Avenue in Little Chute, as well as the southbound I-41 exit for State 47/Richmond Street in Appleton.
The traffic is due to the numerous road closures that came with the I-41 Project, a multi-year plan to expand 23 miles of the interstate from four to six lanes between Grand Chute and De Pere, and reconfigure several of its interchanges…
