Vanderleest, suspect in toddler’s death, asks for reduced bond

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – A man arrested after the death of a 2-year-old boy is due in Brown County court Wednesday afternoon, where he’s asking for his $2 million bond to be reduced.

James Vanderleest, 21, of Green Bay is considered a suspect in the death of Leo Escalante on the east side of Green Bay in late June, but no charges have been filed against him.
