GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Volunteers went out overnight Thursday to look for people living on the streets.
At last report Thursday morning, 123 unhoused people were found in Brown County. That count is very preliminary and doesn’t include people who stayed in shelters, so the number will rise when those numbers are added in. Organizers will have that total next week.
“When we find people during the night, they’re not necessarily the people we run into during the day. Sometimes they’re people who might not be familiar. I also think just having another person say, ‘Hey, these are the resources that are available, we’d really love for you to call in the morning’ really makes a difference,” NEWCAP funding expert Meaghan Gleason said…
