Green Bay Police Department: Residents may hear tornado sirens due to maitenance work

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Green Bay are warning the community that tornado sirens might be able to be heard early this week during scheduled maintenance work.

According to a release from the Green Bay Police Department, maintenance work is being done on tornado sirens in Brown County.

As the work is being completed, residents on the east side of Green Bay are being warned that they could hear the sirens for a short duration on Monday, July 28, and Tuesday, July 29.

Severe weather is not expected at this time. Unless conditions change, sounds heard from the tornado sirens are a result of the scheduled maintenance work on the sirens themselves…
