Howard Fire Rescue’s busy morning sees crews battle flames and rescue trapped owl

HOWARD, Wis. (WFRV) – Firefighters with Howard Fire Rescue had a busy morning on Tuesday, from a reported fire at 7 a.m. to a trapped animal right after.

In a video from the department, a crew was sent to an animal rescue call at Nouryon Park on a report that an owl was trapped in a soccer net.

The video, which can be seen in the player above, shows three members of Howard Fire Rescue lifting and cutting the net while holding the owl to allow it to be freed.

Fortunately, the owl was unharmed and flew away following the heroic and kind efforts of firefighters…
