‘As long as they can find a vein, I’m going to be here’: Green Bay man donates a record 1,442 pints of blood in Wisconsin

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood for surgeries, cancer treatment and traumatic injuries, according to the American Red Cross.

During the summer, donations of whole blood, platelets and plasma can drop off significantly.

Since 1970, one Green Bay man has been going above and beyond in a big way to help fill that need…
