27,000+ without power in northeast Wisconsin following Saturday storms

(WFRV) – More than 27,000 customers in northeast Wisconsin are without electricity after a round of severe thunderstorms rolled through the state Saturday afternoon.

As of 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Wisconsin Public Service reported the largest number of outages in Door County with 8,578 customers in the dark, followed by Brown County with 7,638. Waupaca County also reported significant outages.

We Energies is also responding to outages across the region. According to its outage map, 8,906 northeast Wisconsin customers are without power, including 3,877 in Outagamie County and 3,592 in Waupaca County.
