Flash flooding cancels last day of WI State Fair, prompts response from NE Wisconsin departments

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (WBAY) – Severe weather and flash flooding in lower Wisconsin have caused event cancellations and emergency responses from across the state.

Wisconsin’s Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) was activated on Sunday, and the Appleton Fire Department, Neenah-Menasha Fire Department, and Clayton Fire Rescue responded to Waukesha County with swift water technicians and watercraft to assist in rescue and evacuation operations.
