Island Sushi in Appleton “permanently” closed

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – A popular sushi restaurant with locations in Appleton and De Pere has officially closed one of its doors.

Island Sushi’s Appleton location on N162 Eisenhower Drive now has a sign posted on its front door stating it is permanently closed. The restaurant has also been removed from the company’s website, and Google lists the Appleton site as permanently closed.

Island Sushi was known locally for its variety of rolls and its all-you-can-eat sushi option.

There is no word yet on why the Appleton location shut down, nor is there confirmation on whether the De Pere location remains open. As of now, there is no signage at the De Pere restaurant indicating it has closed…
