OCONTO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – The Wisconsin Department of Health Services confirmed 14 cases of the measles in Oconto County on Friday. Five new cases are linked to the initial nine that were first reported on August 2.
Based on the investigation to date, the majority of cases involved people who are not vaccinated. The DHS confirmed Friday that cases range from a 7-month-old to a 53-year-old. Most, however, are school-aged children.
Several people were reported having a rash between July 15 and August 20. The DHS says the virus is spreading locally but they have not identified any public exposure locations…
