Miller Electric Mfg. LLC has launched its second handheld laser welder: the Miller OptX 1 kW handheld laser welder. With 1,000 watts of power, this model offers many of the same capabilities as its OptX 2kW counterpart while still maintaining high performance and productivity, the company reported.
These welders are best suited for high-volume, low-mix operations requiring precision welding applications-specifically those with precise fit-up where high productivity is needed but automation may be too costly.
