GREEN BAY, Wis. — Residents across northeast and north-central Wisconsin should prepare for strong thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening, with the greatest threat window between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

High Winds and Hail Expected

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, storms will begin developing around 3 p.m. and last through 11 p.m. as a cold front moves through the state. The strongest storm cells may produce:

  • Wind gusts up to 60 mph
  • Hail approaching one inch in diameter
  • Localized heavy rainfall

These conditions may lead to tree damage, minor power outages, and hazardous driving conditions.
