MARINETTE – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ (DNR) Sept. 11 PFAS Listening Session in Marinette became a dialogue with local clean-water leaders and DNR staffers expressing concern about how contaminated groundwater flowing into the Bay of Green Bay and showing up in new inland locations would be addressed.
Johnson Controls’ Tyco unit in Marinette has taken responsibility for PFAS-contaminated groundwater in a limited area, but not in other places where PFAS has been detected at elevated levels in Marinette County, the DNR said.
