GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Hundreds gathered at Green Bay Distillery on Sunday to show their support for 20-year-old Trenton Devos of Luxemburg, who is continuing to recover from a rare autoimmune condition that left him paralyzed less than a year ago.
“December third is when I got sick,” Trenton recalled. “It wasn’t bad — I had a light fever, and then by December fourth I was completely paralyzed.”
Doctors diagnosed him with Transverse Myelitis and MOGAD, two rare diseases that attack the spinal cord and nervous system. He spent weeks at Bellin and Froedtert Hospitals before undergoing intensive rehabilitation at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago.
