1. UnitedHealthcare, Ascension Wisconsin reach new contract agreement
UnitedHealthcare and Ascension Wisconsin said in separate statements they reached a new agreement. UnitedHealthcare said patients enrolled in employer-sponsored and individual commercials plans, Medicare advantage plans — including Group Retiree and Dual Special Needs Plans (DSNP) — and UnitedHealthcare Community Plans in Wisconsin (Medicaid), will have access to Ascension hospitals and providers in southeatern parts of the state. This multi-year agreement is effective immediately, per UnitedHealthcare.
2. WIC at risk of funding lapse if government shutdown continues into November
