GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Saturday’s Drug Take Back Day saw success in Green Bay, with nearly 300 pounds of unused, expired medication dropped off at disposal locations.

According to the Green Bay Police Department, officers collected about 275 pounds between three separate locations on Saturday morning and afternoon.
Officials said 148 total vehicles stopped by the drop-off spaces at Emplify Health by Bellin, HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital and Aurora BayCare Medical Center.
While Saturday was a ‘one-time’ event to celebrate Drug Take Back Day, it’s not the only time or way to dispose of old, unused medications. The Green Bay Police Department has a permanent drop box in the lobby available from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays.
