GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – School officials in Green Bay announced Tuesday morning that Green Bay Area Public School District Superintendent Vicki Bayer will be retiring at the end of the current school year.
Budget, bell schedule dominate discussion at GBAPS board meeting
According to a release from the GBAPS, Bayer’s retirement has been accepted by the GBAPS District Board of Education, with her retirement as Superintendent of Schools and Learning scheduled to be effective on June 30, 2026.
In a letter presented to the Board of Education, Bayer said the following:
It has been an honor to serve as Superintendent and to lead this exceptional community of educators and leaders through some very challenging and transformative times. As I have often stated, my hope is that our faculty, staff, administrators and community feel proud of all we have accomplished together. Green Bay is a special place, and it truly has been a privilege to serve this District.
